Nemetschek North America Names New CEO
While exhibiting at the AIA Expo 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Nemetschek North America announced that it has appointed Sean Flaherty as its new chief executive officer. Mr. Flaherty, formerly senior vice president and chief technology officer, succeeds company founder, Richard Diehl, who is retiring after 20 years in his role as CEO.
Flaherty has been with the company almost since its inception and was actually the second employee. When asked about the future direction of the company, he expressed his strategy to maintain the present course and continue to meet the company's core mission:
"I am honored and privileged to take over for Richard, whose 20 years of leadership and hard work have built this company into the success it is today," stated Flaherty. "I work with a team of highly motivated and talented individuals who will help me continue our company's mission, while taking it to new levels of creative and financial success."
While stepping down as CEO, Richard Diehl plans on continuing his role as chairman of the board of Nemetschek North America. "Sean and I have worked together for many years, and he was the best candidate for this position. He possesses every trait to run a successful company, as well as the business acumen and vision to take Nemetschek North America into the future," said Diehl.
