Vari-Lite Name Bryan Matthews Public Relations Manager
Vari-Lite, a Genlyte company, has announced the hiring of Bryan Matthews as public relations manager for Vari-Lite, Entertainment Technology, and Lightolier Controls. Matthews will take over the position as the primary contact for the media and general public encompassing all three brands from their Dallas headquarters.
“We are fortunate to acquire a real talent such as Bryan,” states Heinz Roy, director of marketing for Vari-Lite and Entertainment Technology. “He brings a wealth of experience in the public relations and entertainment industries. We look forward to having Bryan strengthen the image of the Vari-Lite, Entertainment Technology, and Lightolier Controls brands, as well as their respective products.”
Matthews was most recently the Theatre Manager for the William E. Scott Theatre and the Hardy and Betty Sanders Theatre in Fort Worth, Texas, responsible for the theatres daily business and artistic operations. Matthews has also worked for Barlow·Hartman Public Relations in New York City where he managed the public relations activities for several Broadway theatrical productions.
