Altman Rentals Chooses Intelevent for Inventory Control

Altman Rentals had been running on a DOS-based program for about 10 years. They spent the better part of the last 12 months evaluating potential software solutions in the market place. Randy Altman, vice president of Altman Rentals says: “We chose IntelEvent primarily for two reasons. Number one, software support. We have had direct access to IntelEvent’s support and development team throughout this process, all orchestrated through our primary contact with IntelEvent’s sales manager Andrew Ehler. Number two, many customers in my industry use IntelEvent, I personally know of a large number of people successfully running IntelEvent software, and have talked to most of them regarding their success with IntelEvent.

“I would like to personally thank Nelson Vetter at Sensory Lighting, and Bill Quirk at Circuit Lighting,” says Don Romeka, CEO of IntelEvent. “Time is money, and I appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedules to educate Randy Altman and his team on the specifics of our software, the implementation process, our after sale support, and our team.”

Altman’s rental agent John Fahnestock reiterates that support was a huge factor in the decision making process as well as the quick learning curve to use the program. Fahnestock also mentions the quick turnaround time to generate quotes gives them a huge advantage in getting back to the lighting designers with a professional looking quote which increases Altman’s chances for winning new business. John pointed out that the system is fast, easy to understand and very clearly directs the users, which reduces the chance for error.

Altman’s director of rental operations, John Carver is very impressed with the focus Altman received from IntelEvent’s VP of product development Norm Sutch. Carver says: “Norm Sutch really listens, and as a result of this, Norm was able to turn some of our ideas into a very good real time solution.”

Randy Altman adds: “I see IntelEvent as a partner. They are looking for ways to help benefit my business. I also like the fact that I can pick up the phone and talk directly to IntelEvent’s CEO, Don Romeka, just as my customers can talk directly to me.”
