Robe Lights Teodoro & Sampaio Show
Robe Show Lighting fixtures including Robe ColorSpot 1200, Wash 575 XT and Spot 250 XTs were supplied by leading Brasilian rental company Showdesign for a show by top country stars, Teodoro & Sampaio. This was staged in the 15,000 capacity Olympia arena, Sao Paulo.
Teodoro & Sampaio have been performing together for 19 years and are Brasil’s leading “sertaneja” (country) artists.
The show’s lighting was designed by Welder Rogers, a regular Showdesign LD, who specified Robe because he thinks they are the “best moving lights on the market at the moment”.
Teodoro & Sampaio also own their own Robe fixtures – four ColorSpot 1200 ATs and 18 Spot 575 XTs - so these were utilised for the show and augmented with 20 Spot 250 XTs supplied by Showdesign, together with other lighting equipment. The show was operated by Rogers using an Avolites Pearl.
Rogers, who works regularly for Showdesign, likes Robe products for many reasons. He thinks the 250 has a “beautiful” selection of colours and that the 575 Wash is “very bright and robust”, also with great colours. He thinks the 1200 is “wonderful – super bright and does everything you need a moving light to do”.
He’s used them on many previous occasions including other country shows and for numerous Brasilian ‘Forro’ bands.
Showdesign has a large inventory of Robe fixtures - supplied via Brasilian distributor Trendy Lighting. They are in constant use on a plethora of shows, concerts and festivals throughout Brasil, where the brand is fast becoming a market leader.
