LSC Lighting and Applied Electronics Host Successful maXim Training Workshop

North American distributor Applied Electronics in association with LSC Lighting Systems held a one day maXim lighting console training workshop prior to LDI-ETS, Entertainment Technology Tradeshow and Conference. The workshop was held on 10th November at the Wyndham Hotel and Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Gary Pritchard, Richie Mickan and Ian Pope from LSC Lighting Systems hosted the event. In attendance were installation professionals, production technicians, lighting equipment retailers and various end customers mostly from the South-eastern United States.
“The event was a great success,” declared Darrell Mann, SE division manager at Applied Electronics. “By highlighting the maXim console's vast array of features we created an enormous amount of interest in this great product.”
By utilising ten workstations, each including a maXim MP and a visualiser, Richie Mickan covered the console starting from the very basics of the fader-based, two-scene/pre-set operation through the incredibly advanced features of the PaTPad intelligent light controller.
“This workshop was a comprehensive look at a product which is gaining popularity here in the United States for both its ease of use and its powerful features,” continued Darrell. “At Applied Electronics, we believe that education through product demonstrations and workshops such as this one are the key to creating and capturing market share. All attendees went home with a much better understanding of the maXim console, LSC Lighting Systems, their products and their association with Applied Electronics. Our hope is that from these workshops and from the many tradeshows throughout the year, the word will spread and this great product will gain great popularity in the US.”
Applied Electronics maintains a very liberal policy of providing demonstration equipment to their customers and on-site equipment training of LSC consoles whenever possible. This is proving to be very beneficial in getting their customer base educated on all of the LSC products and the LSC brand name in general.
“For all of our dealers in the U.S. it is essential that LSC, along with Applied Electronics, create product demand at the end-user level, thus establishing long term sales and a strong foundation to build upon,” said Darrell. “The maXim is proving to be a great tool for the architectural installation market and for small to mid-sized production facilities here as well.”
