Meyer Sound Makes Strong Showing at WFX in Dallas
With sophisticated AV technology assuming an expanded and increasingly creative role in contemporary worship, Meyer Sound will respond at the upcoming Worship Facilities Expo (WFX) in Dallas with a high-profile showcase of industry-leading audio systems that have found broad acceptance in churches of all sizes and types. On the exhibit floor at the Dallas Convention Center on November 9 and 10 (conference proceedings begin on November 8), the Meyer Sound booth (709) will spotlight several new loudspeaker products and introduce Constellation electroacoustic architecture to the worship facilities community. Nearby, a large meeting hall will provide an appropriate setting for full-system demonstrations of the eyebrow-raising M’elodie ultracompact high-power curvilinear array.
Those conference attendees who have yet to experience the power and transparency of the diminutive M’elodie will have a perfect opportunity on Thursday, November 9, when Ed Young, Jr., the dynamic and engaging pastor of Fellowship Church, gives the WFX keynote address. His remarks will be heard through a flown system comprising 18 M’elodie cabinets, augmented by 600-HP high-power subwoofers for the low end and M1D ultracompact curvilinear array loudspeakers for frontfill.
Young is accustomed to the sound of his voice through Meyer Sound loudspeakers, as he is heard weekly, live and from recordings accompanying HDTV playback, through Meyer Sound systems installed at Fellowship Church’s four campuses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, as well as at its newest satellite campus in Miami, Florida. More than 185 Meyer Sound self-powered loudspeakers are in service at the five locations.
On the day before Young’s address (November 8), the same meeting hall will serve as a live demo room for the M’elodie system. Attendees will have ample opportunity to hear both voice and music reproduction through a complete M’elodie system suitable for a mid-sized worship space.
In the Meyer Sound booth, worship facility designers and acoustical consultants can examine the new Constellation electroacoustic architecture, the most recent addition to Meyer Sound’s LCS Series of digital audio products. Based around proven VRAS technology, Constellation seamlessly integrates purpose-built hardware and software components with expert design and tuning services to provide a turnkey package that lets churches effortlessly tailor their acoustics to suit their worship style and all of the different worship elements they may have.
Those wanting to take a closer look at M’elodie will find a custom-painted array of M’elodie cabinets on the Meyer Sound booth, as well as the UPA-1P compact wide-coverage loudspeaker wearing a sleek new grille design, the versatile UPJ-1P compact VariO loudspeaker, and the newest Meyer Sound self-powered stage monitor, the MJF-212, named in honor of the Montreux Jazz Festival. Throughout the show, Meyer Sound personnel will be on hand to give demonstrations of the Galileo loudspeaker management system (with Compass control software), MAPP Online Pro acoustical prediction program, and SIM 3 audio analyzer.
Off the booth, Meyer Sound also will contribute to the conference’s educational sessions.
