Successful Start for CT Germany at NAIAS 2006 in Detroit

For CT Germany, the year began with excitement at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. In addition to the premiere of the new and innovative LED Highlight VersaPIX-MODULE as LED ceiling element, CT was responsible for the media technology at the Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen stands and at the press conference of Mercedes-Benz.
The world’s first LED rental module can be multifunctional as an LED ceiling element, LED wall element or LED floor element and was developed by CT Germany for the Saab AB stand at NAIAS 2006 this year. For the first time the VersaPIX-MODULE’s were perfectly integrated in the stand architecture as an LED ceiling element and created a highly imaginative set together with Barco ILite 6 XP LED walls and the longtime approved VersaLIGHTGUIDE modules.
On an immense surface of 240 square metres the individually programmed graphic contents delivered VersaPIX effects on the stand – for example a visually created sky with flight formations reflecting in the glass floor of the stand. Also, CT Germany installed five wall elements out of LED screens on the stand. Four of the walls were a combination of high-resolution Barco ILite 6 XP and VersaLIGHTGUIDE LED modules and one wall was completely built of VersaLIGHTGUIDE LED modules.
In addition to the media control system, several players and the audio installation on the Saab stand, CT was in charge of the interactive car displays including software programming and the internet and information terminals.
The media technology installation for both exhibition stand and press conference of Mercedes-Benz was also the responsibility of CT Germany this year. The CT team installed four high-end projectors, type HD-35 from Digital Projection, for the live press conference on a 12 x 6.75 metre screen, and delivered broadcast equipment with four HDTV camera systems Sony HDC-950 as well as the complete HD broadcast technology. During the public days of the exhibition this installation of high-end projectors delivered brilliant pictures with an HD source.
Visitors at the Volkswagen stand saw a remarkable combination of projection and LED screen technology. A 12 square metre Barco ILite 6 XP LED screen was installed between two projection screens with four high-end projectors showing fascinating pictures on a 30 meter wide media technology surface. As the source for the LED screen and projectors the CT team used five hard disk recorders and a Medialon manager system for media control.
Besides the complete internal project planning and technical installation, the CT Germany team was also responsible for the technical service on site for Saab, Mercedes-Benz und Volkswagen.
Also, the CT North American offices provided audiovisual equipment and technical services to numerous other customers at the NAIAS in Detroit this year. Among the customers were brands such as Ford, Porsche, Chrysler and Mazda where the CT Team utilized multiple components including more than 2,500 LED tiles, Barco ILite 6 XP, over 14,000 units of MiPIX and also a large amount of audio equipment.
