Sound Marketing West Named Harman Pro Group 2005 Rep of the Year

   “John Reda has gone beyond the definition of a rep firm as a traditional sales partner to becoming a valuable strategic partner we count on,” Terry said today. “His organization is populated with hardworking, commercially-minded individuals who all share a common desire to provide excellent marketing and communications to the manufacturers, dealers and contractors that they serve on a consistent basis.    Sound Marketing West is part of the Sound Marketing group that also includes Sound Marketing Central and Sound Marketing East. The group is led by John Reda, founder and CEO. Sound Marketing West is headed by Jerry Klein, sales manager and serves the Southern California and Nevada sales territories. It was founded in 1998 and has offices in Woodland Hills.

   The Sound Marketing West line card includes AKG Acoustics, AMEK, BSS Audio, Crown International, Dbx, Digitech, DOD, Fernandes, Hiwatt, JBL Professional, Lexicon, LG, Polycom, Soundcraft, Studer, Tanglewood, Tascam and Zenith.

   Commenting on the award John Reda, CEO of Sound Marketing explained: “We are very honored to receive the Harman Pro Group Rep of the Year award and those of AKG Acoustics, BSS Audio, Dbx and Lexicon. The awards reaffirm our philosophy of partnering with manufacturers and dealers to create mutually successful business relationships and also our unbridled, highly consistent drive to exceed sales expectations. I know that on receipt of the awards he immediately set out to beat the achievement in 2006, which is why he is such a suitable leader of Sound Marketing West.”

In receiving these awards from the Harman Pro Group, our goal is to emulate our success in 2006.”

   The Sound Marketing organization includes several offices: Sound Marketing West covering the southwest US, Sound Marketing in the Chicago area, and Sound Marketing East handling several eastern states. Not only a liaison between manufacturer and seller, Sound Marketing provides valuable training and education to its clients, simultaneously furthering their client’s selling success and therefore the success of the manufacturers the group represents.

   In 1991, Reda created the Sound Marketing Training Center, where the group has held hundreds of events to date. The training center provides an ideal place for manufacturers and dealers to get together, away from the store or office, and learn new products and new methods first hand. Complete with video projection, PA, and seating for 35+ people, the Sound Marketing training center plays a very important part in helping dealers to become better, more effective, and more knowledgeable salespeople. He has instituted a program of regional Technology Expositions, designed to showcase emerging technologies, and provide an opportunity for customers to be educated in new ways and new products. Trainers conduct small-group seminars, designed to increase efficiency and profitability for our customers, and to build lasting factory relationships.
