Fogerty, Willie and Bandit

John Fogerty is back loaded with the complete Credence catalogue after years of legal maneuvers. It is great to hear him and his band sing all the classics he penned back in the day. The show has been received in Europe with tremendous enthusiasm and the US shows promise to be even higher energy as the great Willie Nelson is signed on for most of the run as the cohort in crime with John.

Designer David Davidian has created a very moody environment for the classic Fogerty tunes and the raw emotion is drawn from every song with David’s brilliant interpretation of the Fogerty songs. Davidian is himself an industry icon having been around nearly as long as John and Willie! The approach is very traditional with a touch of

automation. There are loads of PAR cans, lekos, cyc lights, 8-lights and color changers. Dave has added the Martin MAC 2000 spot and wash fixtures for a small amount of technology while still remaining true to the roots of the music. Control is with both a Whole Hog 2 and an Avolites Sapphire 2000. This dual platform allows the much needed hands on control of the static lights with the Avo and all the automation will be

run via the Hog 2.

Both John Fogerty and Willie Nelson are icons in the music industry and they have touched millions of lives in countless ways with their many and varied artistic endeavors. Bandit works with Willie every year at Farm Aid and knows the crew quite well. This is the first adventure for Bandit with the Fogerty staff and it is a tour they look forward to. It is quite an honor to develop a relationship with John at perhaps the finest hour in his career as he is reunited with “his” songs.
