Sennheiser Expands Marcom Division

The Sennheiser Marketing Communications team is now operating at full-force thanks to a recent restructuring of two positions within the department. Rachel Vaclavik was promoted to the newly-created position of marketing communications specialist, while Gregory Pizzi was hired as the graphics and new media project manager.

In her new position, Rachel works with channel product managers and team leaders to develop and manage internal and external communications, including writing monthly SEC newsletters, marketing updates, dealer and channel specific newsletters, trade articles, email blasts, and dealer announcements and promotions. She also acts as liaison between SEC and press agencies.

She began her career at Sennheiser in a temporary position last year, and quickly moved up to the Marketing Communications department. Rachel graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Journalism. While there, she was involved in the student-run television station and also completed an internship with NBC 30/WVIT in West Hartford, Connecticut.

As the graphics and new media project manager, Greg designs, develops and executes corporate marketing communications projects for all Sennheiser business areas in collaboration with the MarCom team, SEC product team members and outside agencies.

Gregory relocated to New England from a position as web design & multimedia instructor for Train Simple out of Santa Monica, California. He has extensive experience in computer-based design including print, web, 3D and motion graphics. Gregory also worked for American Home, Inc. and Eastern Connecticut State University developing graphics for advertising needs, mailers and signage. He earned a B.A. in Art from ECSU and is now taking classes at the Rhode Island School of Design to work on his MFA.

"I am extremely impressed with the level of creativity, energy and experience that both Rachel and Greg have already brought to our marketing communications team," said Jo Ann Anderson, marketing communications manager for Sennheiser. "Our goal is to communicate the Sennheiser brand clearly and emotionally in our promotions, advertising and collateral. I am confident that our team now has the resources and passion to deliver the Sennheiser vision to our growing channels and our valued customers throughout the country.
