Long Beach Riders Report Success
The Long Reach Long Riders have announced the success of their third annual charity motorcycle ride. The ride, which started in San Diego, CA and Philadelphia, PA on July 9th and ended in Rapid City, South Dakota on July 18th, raised $31,015.42.
The beneficiaries of this year’s ride are Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, The ESTA Foundation's Behind the Scenes Program and the Canadian Aids Foundation.
This year’s group consisted of 22 people, 13 bikes and two chase cars. Ten states, and two countries (Canada and Great Britain) were represented. The youngest member of the group was 10 and the oldest member isn't telling.
The Long Reach Long riders would like to thank the more than 375 individuals and 62 companies who donated money, time or services to help ensure the success of 2006 ride.
Bill Sapsis noted that despite the oppressive heat they all managed to have a wonderful time. They met some great people along the way and saw some great scenery.
Details for the 2007 4th annual Long Reach Long Rider charity motorcycle ride will be released in mid-October.
