Kanye West Joins Rolling Stones for Three Shows
The Rolling Stones invited hip-hop superstar Kanye West to join the first three dates of their North American tour this month. Grammy Award-winning West will be bringing his unique rapping style and an AKG Acoustics WMS 4000 Wireless System to The Rolling Stones ‘A Bigger Bang’ world tour for several dates.
Kanye West was invited to perform on September 20 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA, September 23 at Halifax Commons in Halifax Nova Scotia, and September 27 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.
Over the past year, Kanye West has been well noted for using AKG Acoustics microphone products for his live show performances. During last year's very successful ‘Touch the Sky’ tour, West used an AKG WMS 4000 Wireless System with C 5900 M condenser capsule to clearly deliver his unique, high-energy performances with rock-solid reliability and superb sound quality.
West's debut album, ‘The College Dropout’ sold over three million copies and included singles such as ‘Jesus Walks’ and ‘Slow Jamz’. Additionally, West's second album ‘Late Registration’ went triple-platinum and featured the single ‘Gold Digger’ with Jamie Foxx - a single that held the top spot on the Billboard 100 for 10 weeks and won Kanye West a Grammy. To date, West has won six Grammy Awards and has received a total of eight nominations.
