City Theatrical’s SHoW DMX a Winner at LDI

City Theatrical’s new SHoW DMX wireless DMX received the “Best Debuting Product of the Year” in the Lighting category at the LDI show in Orlando.

CTI’s SHoW DMX system utilises a patent pending method that synchronises the hopping pattern of the radio with the incoming DMX burst to attain levels of data fidelity previously unreachable with wireless DMX. Additionally, SHoW DMX has a range of features including adjustable output power, limited bandwidth mode, and limited burst mode that allow it to peacefully coexist with other radio signals in the busy 2.4gHz band.

SHoW DMX also is fully RDM so users can change radio settings and monitor receiver strength from their laptop during the performance, as well as monitor any other manufacturer’s RDM gear on their production.

City Theatrical’s President, Gary Fails said: “Our SHoW DMX system is truly breakthrough technology that changes the competitive landscape of wireless DMX. We have been a strong contender in this market since we launched our WDS Wireless Data System in 2004, and many professional users on the biggest Broadway and West End shows and Las Vegas productions have depended on us to provide reliable wireless DMX ever since. We now have raised the technology bar and can provide much higher levels of data fidelity than ever before.”

The SHoW DMX family includes a transmitter, receiver, low voltage dimmer, OEM modules for manufacturers, as well as receivers implemented into Color Kinetics Power/Data supplies for LED lighting fixtures. CTI also offers engineering and fabrication services for custom projects utilising wireless DMX, wireless dimming, and wireless LEDs.
