ESTA Announces Winners of 2007 Dealers’ Choice Product Awards
ESTA has announced the winners of the 2007 Dealers’ Choice Product Awards which recognize outstanding entertainment technology products in three categories: Expendable, Widget and Equipment. These Awards honouring product innovation were established in recognition of the fact that dealers have an enormous impact on the success of a new product, as well as a unique perspective on its merits.
The winners for 2007 are:
Expendable Category – Lex-Loc Cage Clamp NEMA Wiring Device from Lex Products Corp
The first screw-less cage clamp wiring device. Uses spring pressure instead of screws to make electrical termination so no tools are required to wire. Simply insert the stripped conductor into the open terminal, and push the cage clamp lever closed. To unwire, open the lever and remove the conductor. The springs deliver a pre-set amount of torque for a perfect electrical connection every time. Say good-bye to loose terminations, creep and wiring device failure. Available in 15 A 120 VAC straight blade (NEMA 5-15) and 20 A 120 VAC straight blade (NEMA 5-20) configurations.
Widget Category – Gel Miser from Apollo Design Technology, Inc.
Designed for use in retail displays, permanent installations, and difficult change-out applications. Equipped with gel shield and a 12 V fan. Filters infrared energy and extends the life of color filters, reducing labor and material costs in the process. Great user value.
Equipment Category – Right Arm from Apollo Design Technology, Inc.
Functional design makes it easy to add pan and tilt capabilities to a wide variety of lighting, video and projection devices. Repositioning static gear from a console reduces equipment and labor costs, as well as safety hazards. The right choice.
The Dealers’ Choice Product Awards were presented during the LDI 2007 awards ceremony on Saturday, November 17th in Orlando, FL.
