The Target Model-less Fashion Show
Employing state-of-the-art technology never before used in the U.S., Target will present the first completely model-less fashion show on November 6 in Grand Central Terminal, New York City. The live, 3D-virtual fashion show will be created with high-definition holograms, allowing the clothes and accessories to walk, dance and interact – models not included. This technology has been employed by some of the world’s most notable figures including Madonna, Al Gore, Richard Branson and Celine Dion. Images appear so life-like it is nearly impossible to distinguish the holograms from actual people or objects and translates impeccably on television and in print.
Powered by hologram innovator Musion Systems Limited, the presentation will employ an illusionary technique that uses Eyeliner foil to give two dimensional images the illusion of depth. The installations are recorded, played back and projected in true High Definition giving the holograms unprecedented quality and clarity.
