Theatreworks Supplies Robe to Palm Springs Pavilion Theatre
Branson, Missouri based sales and rental company Theatreworks recently supplied 10 Robe ColorSpot 575AT moving lights for the Palm Springs Pavilion Theatre in Palm Springs, CA.
“Robe was selected for its price and quality,” stated Bob Finical, senior manager of Theatreworks, LLC. The company has over 30 years experience in production design, covering all areas of the professional entertainment industry, and so knows a thing or two about good lighting kit.
The Pavilion management wanted to buy ten new moving light fixtures that were within their budget – and without compromising any quality. The fixtures were supplied to Theatreworks by Robe America’s West Coast office who, Finical explains, “really excelled themselves in organising a demo at our shop in Branson, showing us first hand all the great features and functionality of the CS 575”.
After that, suitably impressed with the quality of the product and confident that it fitted the theatre’s brief and specific needs, the ColorSpot 575 AT was declared “perfect” for the venue.
They’re thrilled with their new purchase reports Finical. “The facility manager called a few days after the installation to rave about the new gear,” which is now in action on a varity of different shows. Theatreworks also supplied a Hog iPC lighitng console to accommodate the wide a variety of programmers and LD’s who will be using the new moving light rig.
The Palm Springs Pavilion Theatre is a concept of Dick Taylor Productions, designed to provide exciting, live, family entertainment on a year-round basis.
It is located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs on Tahquitz Canyon Way directly across the street from the Palm Springs Art Museum, and replaces a section of the former Desert Fashion Plaza with a magnificent Pavilion structure. It is an attractive addition to the downtown area with a futuristic mid-century style, featuring fabulous lighting and design.
