Community's TAG Team Grows by Two
Community Professional Loudspeakers has announced the appointment of engineers Tao Zhang and Hadi Sumoro to its Technical Applications Group (TAG). As part of Community's TAG team, Zhang and Sumoro will be responsible for providing applications support and systems overview assistance to the company's worldwide customer network.
Zhang joins Community after receiving dual Masters in Acoustic Studies and Recording/Production at the prestigious Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. An avid guitarist and sound engineer, he was awarded his Bachelors Degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Sumoro also holds a Masters in Acoustics from Peabody and a B.A. in Music Production and Engineering from Berklee College. Sumoro is a talented jazz pianist with a strong academic background in psychoacoustics, architectural acoustics and system design.
"In the course of my studies, the Community name has always been associated with the highest quality in loudspeaker design," Zhang commented. "I am excited to be joining a company with the history and reputation of Community."
Added Sumoro: "Community is a company that has always stood behind their products, providing useful technical data instead of marketing hype. I'm proud to be a member of Community's team and working on the next generation of loudspeaker design."
Both Zhang and Sumoro pursued post-graduation employment positions with Community after visiting the impressive factory with their Peabody classmates last year. Remarked Community's Director of Technical Services Dave Howden, "Hadi and Tao are exceptionally skilled engineers with strong technical knowledge and an appreciation for audio. We're thrilled to welcome this talented duo to Community's TAG team."
Zhang and Sumoro join Dave Howden, John Loufik, David Lowe and John Wiggins as a collective resource of technical applications and product line knowledge for Community's reps, distributors, dealers and consultants. This expansion of Community's TAG team is a direct result of the company's recent growth and increase in customer base.
