Sennheiser Celebrates Sound Academy\'s First Year

No matter how many texts and manuals one reads on the fine art of studio recording or the delicate measures of frequency coordination, the best tactic for learning the nuances of these professions is through detailed personal instruction and experience. With solid course content and a healthy dose of humor, Sennheiser's Sound Academy seminars present professionals, students, and those with a keen interest in sound, with new tips and tricks for the best possible audio experience, while also offering up answers to the most harrowing of real-life technical issues.

The Sennheiser Sound Academy, one of the premier traveling seminar events related to professional audio, has quickly become a sought after experience for those in the broadcast, theater, film, and music industries. Led by Sennheiser's resident audio experts, the Sennheiser Sound Academy offers two separate, one-day seminars: one devoted solely to RF wireless and the other to studio recording.

Hosted in conjunction with Recording Magazine and presented by Sennheiser's Chief Engineer Mike Pappas, the "Studio Seminar" allows attendees to brush up on basic studio microphone skills or learn helpful advanced advice on how to obtain the perfect studio sound in intimate, interactive training environments.

The ‘RF Wireless Seminar’ is taught by Volker Schmitt, who played a key role in the development of several Sennheiser products including its line of evolution wireless microphones, and Joe Ciaudelli, Sennheiser's industry team manager for professional products. The RF seminar is designed to teach attendees how to plan for trouble-free operation of multi-channel wireless microphones and personal monitoring systems in even the toughest environments.

Since its inception in September of 2006, Sound Academy has hit over ten cities, many of which are located in the national hubs of RF and studio recording activities, including Washington DC, Denver, San Francisco, Miami, Orlando, New York, Universal City, CA, Las Vegas and Nashville. About 600 participants have taken part in the Sound Academy thus far, and many more are expected for the 2008 run.

In the next year, interested professionals and students can look forward to enhanced curriculum and added value to Sennheiser's already generous seminars. Each seminar includes lunch, complimentary giveaways, informative workshop materials, and much more! Visit the Sennheiser website regularly for updates to the 2008 schedule.
