Arup Takes Platinum Sponsorship of NATEAC Conference
International consulting, design and engineering firm Arup is providing Platinum Sponsorship of the upcoming North American Theater Engineering & Architecture Conference (NATEAC).
Based on the model of the London TEA conferences, produced by Richard Brett in 2002 and 2006, both of which were sponsored by Arup, NATEAC promises to bring together leading theatre consultants, architects, engineers, manufacturers and installers. The conference will offer a forum to address issues concerning planning, design, construction and equipping all manner of entertainment venues, from grand opera houses through to school theatres.
In addition to the Platinum Sponsorship, David Taylor, Leader of the Performing Arts Sectors Americas for Arup, is also a member of the Advisory Board for NATEAC as well as moderator of the Greener Theatre panel.
"Supporting NATEAC was an easy decision for Arup," says David. "We are committed to the sharing of ideas and the furthering of dialog regarding the planning and technology required for performing arts venues for music, theatre and dance. The requirements of performance venues today are more complex than ever before, and as the professionals responsible for planning, constructing and auditing these buildings, it is vital that we get it right.
We hope that through sharing our experiences at NATEAC we can help nurture and promote those goals and build a better future in the arts."
