J. R. Clancy, Inc., continues its ongoing expansion with the addition of two people to its technical and mechanical design staff. The additions help Clancy meet the increasing demand created by business growth, while looking ahead to the next generation of products and services the company will offer.
Shannon Sullivan joins the company as a technical designer, with responsibility for both manual and motorized rigging projects. Sullivan comes to Clancy from Syracuse Stage, where she served as a scenic carpentry apprentice. She attended the State University of New York at Albany majoring in Theatre, with a focus in technical direction. Originally from Port Chester, NY, Sullivan now lives in the city of Syracuse.
Micah Ascano comes to Clancy by way of his hometown in Breckenridge, MN, and his education at South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD. As a mechanical designer for Clancy, he works on standard production lines with the goal of making products and parts more efficient and easier to use. Ascano has a degree in industrial management and a second degree in manufacturing, engineering and technology, with a minor in communications studies and theatre.
