Ron StageMaster wins PLASA 2008 Innovation Award and Set to Raise Profile at LDI 2008

The Ron StageMaster, a wireless load monitoring and overload prevention system and winner of the "Best Debuting Product Of The Year" in the stage and rigging field at the LDI 2007 show, has also won the Innovation award in the PLASA 2008 show.
Eilon Engineering Weighing Systems Ltd. will exhibit the Ron StageMaster at the LDI show, Las Vegas October 24-26, booth 2132.
Hanging heavy loads of sound and lighting equipment above stage workers, spectators and performers, presents a serious safety issue especially due to unpredictable load distribution. Ron StageMaster aims to be the ultimate solution to preventing dangerous overloads that might cause truss collapse.
Ron StageMaster offers multiple load cells per system: Up to 96 wireless load cells shown on one screen, or up to 256 wired load cells with just one single cable descending from the truss, with all load cells shown on one screen. The wireless and wired systems may be integrated with total maximum of 328 load cells per system shown on one screen. It is a laptop-based, real time monitoring of load-map that can be overlaid on stage-plan layout (AutoCAD etc) that enables the rigger to immediately identify the location in the venue of the overload and take swift action.
Wireless load cells have a battery life of up to 1,500 hours on common disposable batteries. The load cells' small dimensions enable exceptionally low headroom loss and portability. Examples: 2t load cell's headroom loss is 4"/100mm at (5:1) and 4.2"/105mm for the same load cell with 10:1 safety factor.
The Ron StageMaster can be added to any existing hoist and hoist control system, and has set points for alarming and/or stopping the hoists in over- or under-load.
The Ron StageMaster is available at either 5:1 or 10:1 safety factor, with a range of capacities from 1t to 5t and even higher.
The Ron StageMaster offers real time cellular SMS text message alert on overload occurrence. In addition, the measurements can be also read on PDA, enabling the user to move in the hall while checking the load cells readings.
The product has enjoyed high-profile recognition recently, with appearances at the Grammy Awards in Hollywood (by Kish Rigging), McDonald's Global 2008 by Orlando Orange County Convention Center, Cirque du Soleil, Celine Dion, Kylie Minogue, Holiday on Ice and Mamma Mia, among others.
Eilon Engineering has been supplying load cells, dynamometers and crane scales to the industrial segment for the past three decades, with customers including NASA, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, the US Air Force and the US Navy.
