A.C. Lighting Inc. Unveils Next Generation Lighting Solutions at LDI 2009

The A.C. Lighting Inc. booth (903) at the LDI 2009 show will feature next generation technologies from the Chroma-Q, Jands and Artistic Licence product ranges exclusively distributed by the company in North America.

Showcasing the complete Chroma-Q LED lineup, the new generation of Color Block 2, Color Force and Color Charge models feature advanced RGBA color mixing and control management technologies. Together these provide a radically increased colour palette, a high CRI of at least 90 and theatrical grade dimming, all in the same fixture.

The Color Block 2 fixture combines this advanced feature set with the modular, versatile design of its predecessor, single colour optics and 530 lumens (double the output of the original model). Previewed at LDI for the first time is the new Color Force 72 / 48 range of 6ft / 1.8m, 12,000 lumen output and 4ft / 1.2m, 8,000 lumen output LED battens. With super bright light output, the range provides an extremely smooth, uniform coverage for washing areas up to 26ft / 8m high. Also previewing is the new Color Charge, a 600 lumen, rechargeable battery powered, ultra portable LED light source which combines wireless control with an environmentally friendly NiMH battery and interchangeable head design.

Other Chroma-Q highlights include the new Magic Box EtherSwitch 7, a touring grade, high quality network switch that supports seven simultaneous Gigabit Ethernet network connections up to 295ft/90m. The EtherSwitch 7F provides an additional OpticalCon fiber optic link, guaranteeing rock solid connections and the best possible reliability between boxes up to 1800ft/550m apart. The fibre link is also available on the Etherswitch 7 as an upgrade.

As well as showing the full range of Vista consoles, Jands will be previewing Vista 2 Byron, a major upgrade of their revolutionary Vista lighting system. Launching early next year and free to existing users with no additional hardware required, this completely re-written application builds on the innovative visual approach pioneered by Jands and takes it to a whole new level, introducing a true second generation of software. Faster and easier to use, it's a lot more than just an upgrade of the existing Vista software. It provides an unrestricted, feature rich, reliable software platform for building an ever more sophisticated and powerful console in the years to come.

As networking requirements for entertainment technology applications continue to increase, many of the leading control companies, such as Jands, are supporting the Art-Net product range. Developed by Artistic Licence, this TCP/IP based communication protocol can co-exist on the same cable with most proprietary protocols. Art-Net is readily available in the public domain on a royalty free basis and is supported by a host of manufacturers. A.C. Lighting Inc. supplies the complete range of Artistic Licence Art-Net Ethernet solutions, which are the perfect complement to lighting control products such as the Jands Vista.

As well as the aforementioned products exclusively distributed in North America by A.C. Lighting Inc., the company carries a vast stockholding of LED lighting products, accessories and consumables. This choice of on-the-shelf products is coupled with competitive prices and the highest level of service and support.
