Symetrix Hires Eric Dies for VP of Manufacturing

Symetrix and its associated SymNet, Lucid, and AirTools brands of pro audio processors are recognised within the industry for delivering powerful cost-effective performance. Newly hired vice president of manufacturing Eric Dies brings a rare collection of skills and philosophies that will improve and innovate the production and manufacturing process at Symetrix.
Dies is APICS certified in production and inventory management and comes to Symetrix after overseeing the strategic planning, process improvement, and daily tactical management of the manufacturing and service operations for the $60 million Autochem business unit of Mettler Toledo Autochem, Inc.
"Eric is a devoted adherent and practitioner of the ‘lean manufacturing' production practice, which seeks to eliminate any aspect of the production process that fails to add value to the product," said Julie Ogden, chief operating officer, Symetrix. "He has been working for twenty years in light assembly and electronics and comes to us with a keen strategic vision and a wealth of practical skills."
"With my background in lean enterprise philosophies, project management, circuit board assembly, electrical assembly, and mechanical assembly, Symetrix is an excellent fit," commented Dies. "I am excited to apply everything that I know to the Symetrix manufacturing process. Personally, it will be a very engaging challenge to make improvements to a system that is already quite good!"
