Bandit Lites is TPi Favourite Lighting Rental Company
Bandit Lites completed a trifecta, winning all three Lighting Company of the Year Awards for the first time in the history of the entertainment Industry.
On 9 February in London at the TPi Awards Bandit was named the ‘Favourite Lighting Rental Company' for the third time. The event was sponsored by TPi magazine and hosted by Phil Jupitus at London's Grosvenor House. This award combined with the 2008 Lighting Company of The Year awards from the PLSN Parnelli Awards and Pollstar CIC Awards completes the history making trifecta.
No other firm has won all three awards in the same year. This marks the 20th overall time Bandit Lites has been awarded Lighting Company of The Year awards since 1992. The company has been very busy globally with tours including REM, The Smashing Pumpkins, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Jimmy Buffett, Westlife, Santana, Mark Knopfler, Queen, Rascal Flatts, ZZ Top, The X Factor, WWE, Stevie Wonder, the Osmonds, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Toby Keith, Enrique Iglesias, Alan Jackson, Avenged Sevenfold, Buckcherry, Brooks and Dunn, Alan Jackson and many others.
As 2009 began, Bandit opened a new larger facility in the UK to enhance the European services for their clients in the region. Bandit, Ltd. CE Lester Cobrin accepted the award with Bandit Mick Freer and chairman Michael T. Strickland.
Cobrin stated: "Bandit are not driven to be the biggest, just the best. We wish to thank all of our friends, clients and staff globally for making this honor possible."
