Oakland's Fox Theatre Reopens

Forty-three years after closing its doors, Oakland's Fox Theater has once again reopened following a $75m restoration project that has returned the 2,800-capacity venue to its opulent original splendor. The theater now serves as the flagship live music venue for premier Bay Area promoter Another Planet Entertainment, which hired Hayward, California-based Sound On Stage to fly a full L-Acoustics V-DOSC system in the room during April and May. Top artists to use the rig included Green Day, Franz Ferdinand, B.B. King, Bloc Party, Jeff Beck and Seal, among others.
