Alcorn McBride ShowTouch Now Shipping

Alcorn McBride is now shipping ShowTouch, a rugged touchpanel incorporating Alcorn McBride's exclusive Touch user interface designer for the company's V16 Pro show controller. Offering a user-friendly drag and drop utility, the Touch designer allows users to design full-featured touchscreen user interfaces for show or media control applications of any size. Its platform includes a large library of virtual switches, buttons, indicators and displays. Touch allows the user interface to obtain real-time information from the show controller. It also allows the interface programming to be archived and retrieved from the controller which makes it simple to add a new touchscreen interface to the network.
"Our Touch software is designed to make show and media control easy and intuitive for users, and ShowTouch makes it even easier with a panel strong enough to stand up to heavy use, even in guest areas," said Jeremy Scheinberg, Alcorn McBride chief operating officer. "The ShowTouch panel is tough. Its armored resistive screen and rugged metal housing give it the strength to work 24/7, and it can be used in installations of any size."
Everything the user needs for complete show control is made available in a single, easy to understand interface. All the user needs to do to start an event or sequence of events is push a button. Control items can be organised on multiple pages, allowing configuration and control of large systems. Individual screens can even be password-protected to limit access. Touch software is included at no extra charge with the purchase of the V16 Pro Show Controller, and is also available for free download from the company's website. Touch can run on any Windows PC.
