GDS Appoints Harry Pain as Sales and Marketing Support

UK – GDS has announced the appointment of Harry Pain to the post of sales and marketing assistant, supporting its growing team. Harry is a dynamic recent graduate, holding a BA (Hons) in Event and Hospitality Management, who joins the company after three years experience in administration, office support, research and content creation for Penny Brohn UK, a major cancer support organisation. His academic background combined with the wide-ranging experience gained in his previous role makes him a perfect fit for the demands of his new position, which will see him offer support across the GDS team as well as liaising with customers and outside agencies.

Managing director Matt Lloyd welcomes the new appointment: "Harry possesses exactly the drive and energy that is required within the GDS team. These are very exciting times for us, we are growing and our products, new and established, are having a global impact that is driving demand at an ever-increasing rate. Our team has to be flexible, responsive and adaptable and Harry's previous experience stands him in good stead for what will be a busy, non-stop role where no two days are ever the same! Harry is a tireless operator and I'm sure he will prove a great success at GDS."

Harry Pain looks forward to the task at hand: "I'm very excited to be joining GDS. There is an incredible buzz around the place and it was pretty quickly apparent that everyone on the team is passionate about their work. My previous job required me to learn quickly and develop new skills, something I really embraced and enjoyed. I know that my new role will push me even harder – to become involved in a market-leading, cutting edge technology company is a fantastic opportunity and I'm relishing the challenge."

As GDS celebrates its thirteenth year, the award-winning UK manufacturer has become a truly global company, having established an international sales and distribution network in 38 countries. A multiple award winner with six market-leading brands, GDS continues to innovate at the forefront of the entertainment, architectural, television and corporate markets. From ArcSystem, the original wireless auditorium LED lighting system to BluesSystem backstage working lights and from CueSystem cue lights to its stage mangers desk, GDS continues to create innovative, flexible solutions that have found their way from Broadway to the Liverpool Everyman and from The Esplanade Singapore to the Savoy Theatre London.
