ProLights StudioCOBs in High Demand at Impact Production Services

UK – Rental company, Impact Production Services (IPS) is experiencing unprecedented demand from its customers for the ProLights StudioCOB Plus LED PAR, which has been hugely popular across a wide range of events ranging from outdoor live music concerts to film premieres and corporate functions in high end hotels.

IPS’s Tom Warden commented: “They have been consistently popular with customers since we started adding them to our hire stock; we keep ordering more and still can't keep up with the demand for them!”

IPS purchased its stock from ProLights UK dealer, A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd (AC-ET), which includes the StudioCOB Plus Full Colour and StudioCOB Plus Daylight White models.

Steven Moseley, from the IPS lighting department said: “There has been an ever increasing demand from our clients for an LED fixture with a single beam output, so we contacted A.C. for some product advice and demos. We were impressed with the bright output of the StudioCOB Plus fixtures, as well as their compact size and neat appearance, something that not many comparable products could offer. This, added to the reduced power consumption and IP65 rating, made the StudioCOBs a winner in our eyes and a very attractive all-round package.”

Amongst the various events to utilise the StudioCOB fixtures, around 50 of the RGBW units were out on a roadshow for most of June, and they have also proved popular for the film premiere work that IPS regularly supplies equipment for, including launch events for two very high-profile summer blockbusters at cinemas in London's prestigious Leicester Square.

Tom Warden concluded: “All customer feedback on the StudioCOBs has been extremely positive and AC-ET has been very helpful, from initially suggesting products to arranging demos. We look forward to working with them again in the near future, to continue to service our customers' lighting needs.”

The new StudioCOB Plus FC is part of the comprehensive ProLights IP65 family, which makes it possible to light an entire show or event with IP65 fixtures and also includes blinders, strobes and moving beamlights. These models continue the Italian company's quest to offer flexible, cost effective products that deliver as both a creative tool and a profitable investment.
