The Netherlands – Panasonic has announced a range of user-friendly, high-brightness and lightweight portable projectors for education and corporate environments at ISE2017 in Amsterdam.

The 3LCD PT-VZ580 series comprises three wireless and three network capable models offering 5,000 lm of brightness at WUXGA resolution (PT-VZ585N/PT-VZ580), 5,300 lm at WXGA (PT-VW545N/PT-VW540), and 5,500 lm at XGA (PT-VX615N/PT-VX610), all with contrast of 10,000:1 for clear, vivid images.

The wireless models are equipped with Miracast technology that allows the easy projection of documents, Full HD video, images and audio via iOS and Android devices as well as Windows and Mac PCs.

Miracast allows simple sharing from up to ten users at any time, using the moderator capabilities. In addition, dual-band frequency transmission (5GHz/2.4GHz) makes for fast initial connection, and allows for full-screen mirroring of media at Full HD resolution from compatible devices. Start-up is further expedited on devices with the Wireless Projector or Wireless Manager apps.

To significantly reduce running costs, lamp and filter replacement is extended to 7,000 hours in ECO2 Mode. This mode also minimises distractions with an operating noise of just 29 dB. The wireless models also support DIGITAL LINK, which allows the transmission of video and control signals using a single cable at distances of up to 150m.

“This is a lightweight projector, weighing in at just 5kg, that is perfect for schools and offices,” said Hartmut Kulessa, European marketing manager for Panasonic. “The network enabled models boast a variety of handy features from the EAP security, which prevents unauthorised users from accessing the projector, to the ease of access from mobile devices thanks to QR code scanning.”
