A.C. Entertainment Technologies' Dedicated Exhibition Zone at PLASA 2017 Showcases Leading Brands
UK – A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd. AC-ET's Lighting sales division will showcase brands from its portfolio of static and moving lighting fixtures, software and control, networking and data, power, distro and dimming, support and grip, and effects and consumables solutions.
Chroma-Q's multi award-winning Color Force II fixture won two awards upon its North American launch at LDI 2016, and a special commendation at last year's PLASA Awards for Innovation. After high demand from leading US rental houses, stock is now available in the UK and internationally. The fixture's extremely powerful output, pixel control, homogenised colour mixing and ability to produce both strong saturated colours and delicate pastels has made it a firm favourite for high profile concerts, theatrical productions and corporate events. Also catch the new Chroma-Q Inspire XT and recently launched Color One 100X. With twice the output of other models in the award-winning Inspire colour-mixing house lighting family, the XT adds long, powerful throws to the range. The 100X colour-mixing LED PAR provides 60% more output than its predecessor. Both ranges feature convection cooling for quiet operation. Other highlights include the award-winning Space Force variable white LED soft source featuring convection cooling.
Jands control range highlights include the multi award-winning Stage CL console, which with very little training, enables users to produce stunning shows that bring their LEDs to life. Also showing is the award-winning Jands Vista, which is designed to provide leading edge lighting and media control.
See the latest ProLights IP65 family, which makes it possible to light an entire show or event using IP65 rated fixtures. Ranges include IP65 LED PARs such as the StudioCOB Plus, blinders such as the ArenaCOB4 featured on the ongoing Coldplay stadium tour, strobes and moving beamlights such as the Panorama IP AirBeam. These models continue the Italian company's quest to offer flexible, cost effective products that deliver as both a creative tool and a profitable investment. Also showing is the new ProLights range of wireless, battery LED fixtures to brighten up any occasion, including the SmartDisk full colour pixel controlled table centre, the TabLED revolutionary full colour table light and the SmartTorch LED colour changing candle.
See the latest, extensive range of LED Profiles and Fresnels from Italian lighting manufacturer, Spotlight. The PR LED 200 UD high quality Profile light incorporates Spotlight’s UD system, enabling it to be operated either from a 0–240V dimmer or by DMX. Dimmer operation enables a straight swap out with conventional fixtures, to benefit from LED efficiency and reliability in an existing control infrastructure. Also showing is Spotlight's flagship FN LED RGBW, a high powered 450W colour changing Fresnel with beam angles ranging from 12 degrees to 65 degrees.
The Quasar Science range of linear LED fixtures is available in a choice of variable white and new RGB colour-changing options in a self-ballasted, highly versatile and low-profile shape. As well as the original Crossfade variable 2,000K - 6,000K model, the new Rainbow model combines variable white with RGB LEDs to create full colour-changing, making it ideal for the entertainment world. The linear LED fixtures can be clamped individually or stacked into large arrays, use a 120-240VAC supply or 12-24VDC. The Rainbow also features full on board controls as well as DMX I/O and wireless through Lumen Radio technology, which is supplied as standard.
From Luminex, see the new LumiSplit next generation DMX splitter technology, which offers a choice of RDM and traditional DMX filtering on each port for controlling devices when connected. Luminex software also allows the mapping of data paths all the way from the desk, even in complex set ups. In addition, LumiSplit can be used in alternate modes to merge DMX from multiple sources using either LTP or HTP. As with its GigaCore AV switches, all Luminex products are built to tour and have a rugged construction, isolated outputs, and user profiles.
New to AC-ET's portfolio, the StageSmarts smartPDU provides intelligent power distribution for the touring and events industry. The status of every single channel can be remotely monitored through a web browser. The smartPDU uses sealed industrial grade hydraulic-magnetic circuit breakers throughout for reliable operation even in harshest conditions, and features fully distributed RCD functionality for maximum electrical safety and minimum disruption. The units are easy to set up and use, output connectors can be changed quickly, and it accommodates all the main types of connector.
Another brand joining AC-ET's portfolio, LSC's Unity cabinet dimmer and power distribution system offers a complete solution to control an array of LEDs, tungsten and power switched fixtures. Also showing is the new V1.3 software of the award-winning Mantra console. Simple and intuitive, it is designed to control LEDs, moving lights and conventionals. LSC's Gen-VI dimmer/distro allows the user to configure each channel to be an 8 or 16-bit dimmer or switch channel using its revolutionary TruPower technology. Finally, the APS-Advanced Power System is designed to manage power and avoid nuisance tripping associated with inrush currents of various equipment.
AC-ET's rigging sales division will showcase brands from its portfolio of truss, structures and decking, hoists, wireless load monitoring and control, and hardware, tools and PPE solutions.
Columbus McKinnon's Lodestar chain hoists have been upgraded to IP65 rating and all units now feature an adjustable clutch as standard. Various components have been uprated to achieve this IP specification. Other standard features include 2M FEM rating for longer service life, direct or low voltage control, overload and over-travel protection. Options include double brakes, additional limits, variable speed, CM Latchlok hooks, encoders and integral load monitoring. Capacities range from 125kg to two tons, with a standard lift of 18m. Standard speeds are 2, 4, 8 and 16m/min.
Prolyte’s BGR70 Truss is a new low profile rectangular truss system with extreme load bearing capacity, which is perfect as a mother grid or for long spans of up to 45m, with little to no deflection. The four sided webbing design means truss components can be used interchangeably in both vertical and horizontal planes. The diagonal brace spacing also allows Prolyte 30 series trussing to be run comfortably in between. Loads of up to 3,300kg can be accommodated on a 20m span and a 45 metre span will take a centre point load of 750kg. There's a toolless pin and r-clip system for assembly and disassembly, along with an integrated dolly system for moving and positioning components.

D.A.D.'s Touring Power series is a complete range of loudspeaker systems. Available in both active and passive versions, the series is designed to offer high sound pressure levels, definition, and fidelity that excel in typical professional audio applications. The Touring Power series line-up includes a 2 x 8” model, plus 10”, 12” and 15” speakers, two stage wedge monitors and three subs. At 1400 watts bi-amped, the 12” and 15” active enclosures offer huge amounts of power, headroom and clarity. The series has proven very popular in the theatre, corporate and live events markets.

ProLights’ AlphaPIX2 is a sub 3mm pitch high resolution LED screen with great contrast and clarity for indoor productions, concerts and events and, like other AlphaPIX products, combines high quality with great value. AlphaPIX range features include black-faced SMD LEDs for high contrast and high colour consistency, colour calibrated panels for superior image reproduction, a high refresh rate for flicker-free results on camera, advanced greyscale properties, automatic image correction, and a 160° viewing angle. In addition, they utilise a robust, lightweight, die-cast aluminium housing with a fast interlock system requiring no tools, and the front access, magnetically positioned LED Display Modules create a seamless image which can be configured in almost any shape.
