Version 2 Lights appoints Finance Director
UK – Broadcast and event lighting specialist, Version 2 has appointed Graham Baskeyfield as its new finance director.
Working closely with Version 2’s MD Nick Edwards, Baskeyfield will play a key role in the company’s expansion over the next five years, as the company realises its 2022 vision.
Graham joins from Aurora, where he’d previously collaborated with Edwards their then incumbent MD. During their tenure the company went on to exceed plan year on year delivering significant growth to its shareholders. The success of Aurora was crystallised in 2015 with its acquisition by global giants VER (PRG).
An enthusiastic Edwards states: “We are delighted to be welcoming Graham to his new role at Version 2. His experience is second to none, and is well in-tune with the challenges of our ever-changing fast-paced industry. Graham is already well respected by both our team, and external stakeholders it’s the perfect appointment.”
The company boasts an impressive production portfolio including the Jonathan Ross Show, 8 Out of 10 Cats, BBC Comic Relief, The Great British Bake Off, John Bishop, BBC Children In Need, MTV Live Stage, Sounds Like Friday Night and the BBC In Concert series. A large variety of high-profile live events are also serviced including the Wimbledon Championships, London Fashion Week, Formula 1 and the Glastonbury Festival.
On his appointment at Version 2, Graham said: "When Nick approached me I had a sense of deja vu with the opportunity to recreate the success we achieved together at Aurora. Nick's vision for the next 5 years is exciting, Version 2 has all the qualities to become a significant and very well respected player in the industry."
