This nifty piece of kit which previously appeared at Prolight & Sound in Frankfurt in prototype format is now in production and will be available to customers soon. The stand takes the all the principles of a tank trap but packages them into a neater, more aesthetically pleasing model.

USA – Constructed back in the 1870s as a market, the facility eventually became the Academy of Music in 1886. Then in 1917 the Rajah Shriners purchased it for the purpose of showcasing a range of entertainment including vaudeville, motion pictures and live performances. Sadly, a fire destroyed most of the facility a few years later and the auditorium had to be rebuilt. That was in 1921. Today, well known as the Santander Performing Arts Center, this vintage facility is home to the Reading Symphony Orchestra and hosts numerous events which have included acts such as Willie Nelson, Alice in Chains, Jerry Seinfeld, David Copperfield, Melissa Etheridge, and many more. Providing the sound system for a venue this rich with history, it’s important to make sure the equipment you install lives up to the well-earned expectation. This particular challenge required much more than a simple install of standard issue speakers.

Built in 1941, the 50x40-foot landmark was the largest free-standing sign in the region, but since 1996 the old incandescent lamps have been dark. A recent renovation by S.M.L. Florida International University Updates Baseball Stadium with a New Danley Sound Reinforcement System

USA – Of all the sports teams that Florida International University fields, its Panthers baseball team is arguably the most successful, having reached post-season play one out of every three years, on average. The team practices and plays all of its home games in a state-of-the-art stadium that accommodates 2,000 Panthers fans. Until recently, however, the stadium’s sound reinforcement system lagged behind its other features, a situation that was remedied by local A/V integration firm Midtown Video. Based on the buzz about Danley Sound Labs’ innovative loudspeaker technologies for sports complexes and the recommendation of a trusted local rep, Midtown Video installed its first Danley system at the FIU baseball stadium. The weekend event benefited the not-for-profit artist advocacy group, Americana Music Association, and featured performances by award winning singer-songwriter Brandy Clark, Americana Artist of the Year Nominee Todd Snider, and GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Tift Merritt. The device was actually shown to users last year as a design study for discussion and interdisciplinary consultation with the development team. Numerous features of the prototype such as the daylight and outdoor PCAP display in 24" format, the extended hot-key keyboard level and, above all, software features at the operating and object level subsequently found their way into the final, series-production model.

USA – Organised in 1741, just eight years after the founding of Savannah, the congregation that became the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Ascension purchased its present site in 1771. The current building, about nine blocks south of the Savannah River, was constructed in 1844 but was heavily damaged during the Civil War, when it was used as a hospital. Renovations began in 1875, and the building was rededicated in 1879, featuring the beautiful Ascension Window that inspired the church's name. The church was renovated several more times during the 20th century.

Switzerland – Opened in December 1916, the Stadttheater Langenthal has long been an important cultural centre for the city of Langenthal and for the Oberaargau region. In 2012, the city embarked on a major renovation and expansion of the theatre, including relocation of the main entrance, the installation of an additional room – Theater 49 – which seats 200 people, an enlarged stage and improved acoustics in the main hall and a new sound system. Key requirements for the new loudspeakers in the main hall included the ability to support a variety of performances, provide very high-end sound quality that complements the hall's acoustics, and be visually unobtrusive.
