UK – This year's PLASA London sees the launch of rackSplit octo, a budget-friendly DMX/RDM opto-splitter. At a mere 50mm deep, the product heralds the new 'skinny rack' range. With eight Neutrik XLR5 outputs (transient protected) and featuring the famous Artistic Licence data-fix mode, the product packs premium functionality into an impressively compact form factor. Complementing the opto-splitter is the new skinny eight-output gateway, rackLynx octo, which converts Art-Net/sACN to DMX/RDM.

AL will be proudly demonstrating the capabilities of sunDial quad, the new DMX/RDM or Xicato GalaXi controlled mains dimmer. Using trailing edge technology, the product provides smooth fades with dimmable replacement LED, CFL or incandescent sources, with exceptional performance even at very low intensities. Following a recent major firmware upgrade, editable dimming curves tailored to specific lamps can be uploaded on a per-channel basis.

There is exciting news for those who use DALI, as AL will be showing its latest DMX512-to-DALI conversion product, DMXtoDALI quad. Integration between the protocols has never been easier. With support for DALI DT8 (colour), DMXtoDALI quad is ideally specified for the new generation of DALI products coming to market.

Artistic Licence CEO and product designer, Wayne Howell, will be present throughout the show to answer questions.
