Stage Electrics Supply Yamaha to The Sands Centre

UK – Stage Electrics have supplied The Sands Centre in Carlisle with a Yamaha CL5 and two Rio 3224-D2 stageboxes in time for its pantomime.

Stage Electrics' Neal Tomlinson helped and advised the team at The Sands Centre on which desk would be suitable for the venue all year round not just for pantomimes.

“We spent a long period of trialling different desks and researching into what the venue currently needed and what would be future proof,” commented Anthony Parkinson

Daniel Walters, technical and stage manager said: “Our first use of the CL5 was on our annual pantomime (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs). We couldn’t have asked for a better desk. Our set-up compromised a main PA, gallery fills and delays, stage edge fills, stage monitors and band IEM monitors. We were running over 48 channels from the band pit and mics racks. The whole process of setting up the desk to recording scenes was a pleasure. With extra channels to spare we didn’t have to compromise on quality to produce a fantastic production.”

Daniel concluded: “Stage Electrics were great during the purchasing process suggesting additional features for us to consider, arranging demos with the kit and arranging fast delivery ahead of our Pantomime. We are extremely happy with our new CL5, it is a great addition to our venue and will provide great sounds for years to come.”
