USA – With up to 50,000 people in and out of the Georgia World Congress Center each day over a two-day period in February, the Cheersport National Cheerleading Championship in Atlanta may be the largest event to have taken place in the world under the COVID pandemic. Rental and production company Lite Tek Entertainment supplied and designed lighting for the event and turned to an Elation lighting package of Cuepix and DTW blinders, Protron strobes, SixPars and more to highlight team routines across five different stages.

USA – Broadcast live outside the Los Angeles Convention Centre, the 63rd GRAMMY Awards offered viewers a night to celebrate music with elaborate performances from top artists across different musical genres. The audience-free show combined a mix of performances with the outdoor ceremony for select artists who were on-hand to accept the awards. The majority of the show’s 23 musical productions, as well as the ceremony, relied on Shure’s Axient Digital wireless system and microphones.

Mauritius – The Caudan Arts Centre (CAC) is a landmark arts and conference centre in the East African region. Designed by Arup UK with systems integration services from Stage Audio Works (SAW) in South Africa, CAC is the first truly international-standard venue in Mauritius. Inaugurated in December 2018, it incorporates a stunning 431 seat theatre, a rehearsal space, three bars, a restaurant and four well-equipped, modular conference spaces. Having successfully designed (in conjunction with Arup), supplied and installed state-of-the-art audio, video and communications systems throughout the venue, CAC recently called on SAW to design and install the systems for a fifth conference room that can accommodate up to 150 people seated. A soundproofed partition also enables the creation of an art gallery as required.

A&H Expand AHM Control Options with Crestron and Amx Drivers

Allen & Heath has released new drivers for its AHM-64 matrix processor to facilitate control from Crestron and AMX by Harman. The drivers add to an impressive array of existing control options, including IP hardware controllers and wallplates, GPIO interfaces, and Allen & Heath’s own multi-platform and BYOD-friendly Custom Control app.
