Optocore North America accoladed with Best Distributor award

USA – In recognition of an outstanding year, Optocore North America (ONA) has been accoladed with a Best Distributor Award for 2021 by the German parent company.

In addition to the extensive Optocore fibre optic audio network for The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, the San Diego Symphony’s new, state-of-the-art venue, the year has seen many other high profile sales. These include Toronto’s famous Massey Hall, which took delivery of ten new Optocore devices as part of a major restoration; four Repeat48-WDM to the National Assembly of Quebec (Assemblée Nationale); a number of AutoRouters to various churches and theatres in the USA and Canada and MADI units (DD2, DD4, M8 and M12) for installation and touring productions. They also supervised the first North American purchase of Optocore’s unique Festival Box system by Clair Global.

This has had a profound effect on the ONA’s turnover, as technical and customer support manager, Brandon Coons (pictured) explains: “Sales continue to grow year-on-year as more and more people switch to the benefits of fibre. Its near unlimited channel count, deployment possibilities and sheer flexibility continue to appeal to new customers while ensuring our existing user base keeps us on their current and new projects.”

He goes on to say: “Our customers in Canada and the US are searching for solutions that are both dependable and offer them flexibility for whatever job they may have to tackle. Optocore equipment is so versatile that it can lend itself to almost any application while providing the most dependable and fault tolerant performance on the market with uncompromised audio quality.”

Bill and Brandon Coons began distributing Optocore products (through their Contact Distribution company) in 2007, becoming so successful that by the following year they had formed Optocore North America.

“From the beginning we could see how revolutionary Optocore was as a product. It’s interoperability and open format standards transport provides an easy solution to working with numerous other products and their users. And it’s this gateway that has led to us building such an enduring relationship that’s lasted for 15 years.

“Receiving this award is a great recognition of our efforts, demonstrating that we are more than just partners, we are a family,” concludes Brandon.
