Infinity impresses at Soenda Indoor WSK 2022

The Netherlands – Elevation Events teamed up with T.Y.S Productions and Stagelight to create an unforgettable night at the Soenda Indoor Werkspoorkathedraal 2022, where over 6,000 electronic music lovers made their way to the unique Werkspoorkathedraal location in Utrecht to enjoy their favourite music and dance the night away. Perfectly fitting the industrial look of the venue and Soenda’s signature theme of minimalist geometric shapes, lighting designer Lars Aarts of T.Y.S Productions created a unique design of five large geometric truss squares that housed a staggering 180 Infinity iB-2R moving heads supplied by Stagelight. With their fat beam and long focal length, the iB-2Rs provided exactly the features required for the intended lighting design, making the choice of the reliable iB-2R an obvious one. For lighting the DJ booth, two powerful Infinity Furion S601 Profiles were used as side lights. To accentuate the industrial characteristics of the venue, a further 28 Infinity Furion S401 Spot moving heads were chosen for their deep colours and beautiful gobos with razor-sharp images.

Gillmor Hall, a modern facility equipped with state-of-the-art instruction, rehearsal and performance spaces for the school’s music, dance and theatre programmes. Germany – World premiere: the SKYLOS is an ultra-versatile and weather-resistant fixture, with incredible light output and outstanding construction features; much more than just a classic searchlight! The Skylos will certainly also be appreciated in the touring sector, where LDs are constantly on the look-out for dense, solid beams of light and ever-greater light output. It fits a custom 300W white light laser source, which provides an extremely parallel, uniform beam. The beam pours out from a large 300mm front lens, specifically designed in Claypaky’s R&D department and it is perfectly uniform and parallel with no visible hotspots. The beam angle can be adjusted from 0.5° to 5° resulting in exceptional light intensity, which cannot be produced by a LED or traditional light source. If you consider its light output and the size of the front lens, the body of this remarkable light is lightweight and compact. This allows the unit both to be moved with relative ease in any environment and to be rigged on trusses for use on tours. Its body is IP66 protection rated and marine grade. So, it is capable of working in any weather conditions and in environments with high marine salinity and a high risk of corrosion. A sophisticated internal heating system designed specifically for this product means it can even work at very low temperatures (as low as -40°).

The Activity collaborated closely with Ultra’s creative director Richard Milstein, as well as TAG (Technical Arts Group), the primary lighting and video vendor for the Main Stage.

USA – Part of the Southern Baptist Convention and at 10,000 members, Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida is among the largest congregations in the region. Its main campus, one of two in the city, has always fielded a large contingent of musicians, vocalists, and praise leaders both on stage and on the main floor in front of the stage. But post-Covid, the orchestra and vocalists were spread out even wider at the front of the 3,300-seat auditorium, now split left and right on the 250-seat choir risers, with the band’s guitars, drums and keyboards remaining on stage. The church’s in-ear monitoring system, already strained, simply couldn’t manage the new configuration. But KLANG could. In January, the church acquired and installed a pair of KLANG:vokal immersive in-ear monitor mixing systems and 14 KLANG:kontrollers, providing the church’s musical multitude with the highest degree of sonic IEM quality and control over their stage mixes.
