Color Kinetics debuts new LED pixel luminaires with versatile RGBiW color platform

Color Kinetics, the original name in colour-changing architectural lighting and a Signify architainment lighting brand, has announced the Flex Compact Pro, a direct view LED pixel luminaire perfect for media façades, bridges, tunnels and architectural art installations.

“LED pixel luminaires are needed in increasingly diverse and challenging locations,” explains Nancy Ji, product manager, Color Kinetics at Signify. “Architects and designers need fixtures that are built to last in these demanding environments, including coastal installations. They also need a flexible form factor that will work in complex two-dimensional and three-dimensional configurations. That’s why we’ve built the Flex Compact Pro with enhanced weather resistance, a compact node size and a wide range of mounting options.”

The Color Kinetics Flex Compact Pro features an RGBiW platform that supports RGB, RGBW, tuneable white (iW) and eW outputs in a single product. Each standard strand features 50 LED nodes and dynamically integrates power, communication and control. And thanks to FluxBoost technology, Flex Compact Pro offers increased efficacy and deeper, more saturated colours, with up to 25% energy savings compared to Flex Compact Gen3.

“The Flex Compact Pro is a versatile platform perfect for more installations,” adds Ji. “It has a compact node size and flexible form factor, along with a fully customisable strand configuration. Thanks to an adjustable node pitch, node count and optional multi-segment strand format for strings exceeding 100 feet, the Flex Compact Pro facilitates easy on-site handling and installation in a variety of environments.”
